X-MEN #13 Cover - Making of PART TWO - Inks

Here's a look behind how the cover of X-Men #13 was created (out in stores this week from Marvel Comics - written by Brian Wood with art by Clay Mann).

Rachel Dodson's inks on the cover

Rachel uses Windsor Newton Series 7 Kolinsky Sable #2 Brush and Higgins Black Magic ink to ink the covers with.

Detail of Jubilee's face - all brush. Rachel uses an electric eraser to lighten some of the facial lines. Rachel uses Pro White for corrections.

More detail on the fabric and how the "greys" are created in the fabric.

Detail of Shogo's face.

The scanned artwork cleaned and "Bitmapped" - ready for coloring in Photoshop.

Next - the colors…
